Traditional building material, clean and simple, ready to mix.
This hydraulic lime mortar contains no additives or platicisers and is mixed to british standards following english heritage guidelines.
It contains (moderately hydraulic) NHL 3.5 lime and a selected blend of masonry sands and aggregates.
The hydraulic lime, sands and aggregates are top quality natural materials quarried in England and across the UK.
The material is packaged in a tough, reusable, water-tight tub.
This makes it clean, portable, easy to handle and convenient to store.
These lightweight tubs are ideal for small building maintenance and repair projects.
Mixing the mortar is really simple.
The hydraulic lime is separated from the sand and aggregate inside the tub in a high tensile bag.
All you need to do is empty the bag of hydraulic lime into the tub with the sand and aggregate, add clean water and mix the materials to the correct consistency.
NHL 3.5 lime mortar comes complete with clear, concise instructions and technical support.

Mortar matching service.
A lime mortar mix to match existing mortar on your building.
We can pre-mix your lime mortar to match an existing mortar.
The sands and aggregates in the material can be varied to match the colour and texture of most mortars precisely.
With a good match your repointing will blend seamlessly with the rest of the masonry on the building.
You won't get the mortar banding or striping that you sometimes see when parts of a wall or building are repointed.
This service costs £35 including VAT.
You will need to supply us with a small mortar sample from your building and a mix reference to identify your mortar mix.
From then on, whenever you add mortar to your cart you'll be able to choose from any mixes you've had matched.
We'll show you a list of your mix references to choose from.
The matched mortar costs the same as the standard mix, you only pay for the matching service initially.
Matched lime mortars are usually shipped in 2 to 3 days but in some cases it might take a bit longer.
This all depends on the availability of the sands and aggregates when you place your order.
Please remember this if you are planning a building project, we advise you to allow 10 days to cover the worst case scenario.
