Do I need to use natural goat hair with hydraulic lime render?

The natural goat hair is typically added to lime render base coat when applying to laths. The hair becomes knotted and intertwined with wooden laths and provides a good bond. You'll typically require non-hydraulic lime plaster for this kind of work.
