Hydraulic lime plaster cures in around 90 days - roughly nine months faster than non-hydraulic lime plaster.

Do I need to use natural goat hair?
How much goat hair would I need?

Natural goat hair is recommended if repairing existing plaster that already contains it or for traditional lath and plaster walls where the hair provides an excellent key to the wooden lath.

The goat hair is added to the base coat only using a traditional method called teasing. The plaster is poured ino a large plasterer's bath in layers, the hair spread evenly and folded in. The process is repeated until complete. In total, every kilogram requires 2 grams of hair.

Do you sell horse hair for lime plaster?
I only see goat hair here.

Goat hair is favoured as it is rough and curly whereas horse hair tends to be straight and smooth. The wiry nature of the goat hair ties well into nooks and crannies around laths providing an excellent bond.
